Fundraiser...raised the roof!!

Howdy!
Miss me????
Have been catching up on some well-deserved sleep after the fantastic day last Sunday.

These were taken very late (hence the cardies!!LOL) when most had gone home.

It was a lovely, relaxed day and just about everyone left with something new. A prize, a friendship, a tip or technique....

....lots of lovely laughter (especially from the Naughty Corner) and some well-deserved quality scrapping time for most.

Thanks to all the 20+ ladies who turned up, braved the morning rain, my layout class and a really {bad} game of Heads and Tails.

We raised $500.
I'm speechless and overwhelmingly grateful to Kathleen and Tamara, the owners of Inkredible, who continually open their hearts, and this time their store, whenever I call out.

Sorry there aren't more photos. I should delegate that responsibility next time.

WINNERS ARE GRINNERS....indeed...
The Jilly G-G canvas - Maria (yay...give, and ye shall receive!!)
The AVON goody bag - Margaret
The Stampin' Up goody bag - Dina
$60 voucher to Inkredible - Helen
$50 cold, hard cash courtesy of Pandemonium Cafe - Angela
Bottle of Moet - Christine

There were so many Lucky Door Prizes, we had to run 2 lots.

Once again, thanks to the many prize donors and people who made some yummy sweets to sustain our creative juices for 12 hours.

My next job is to go shopping at these fine establishments:
IKEA (believe it or not)
SenseAbilities
Sensory Tools

I have raised $1 000 with your help, and I am humbled by the overwhelming and instant response I received from this community that I was initially very reluctant to open my life to.

But look what happened!!!!
THANK YOU!

I'll be back with specific items that will hopefully be en-route when I next post.

Stay tuned....
After Easter hols, I will run that online class for those that missed the first one last year.

....SEEK and make a difference, learn something new and feel good about yourself

Running With Scissors

All seats are taken!!!
OMG
omg
OMG
OMG
Thanks everyone.

If you still want to visit and buy some amazing cards, embroidered towels and the hanging kind with all the crocheting on top (love those), I would love to see you there.

DON'T FORGET
I'm planning another online class somewhere, somehow, perhaps in Term 2, after Easter. I have a NING site but need some help tarting it up. {{smiles sweetly}}

As a family, we have loads going on - soccer, home-based therapy, super ugly blood tests, travelling hubby, possibly the house being built (ah, yes, that's been in the pipeline for 15 years LOL). My family and friends are SICK TO DEATH of hearing about the house!!!! I am too which is why it's this year - or else LOL!!! "else" haha

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back with heaps of pics and hopefully a final tally and that shopping list.....woohoo!!!!

CC + fundraiser = happy girl

I'm hoping to make this one!!!

(Stole this from Sandie Mallon coz I'm too lazy to learn how to do it LOL)

FUNDRAISER
All the prizes are ready to go!
The cards are all wrapped!
We have a full house so if you're thinking of coming, make sure you ring the shop (33660366) and squeeze in at least for the layout class.

Novices will be please to know, this layout is very easy and will look awesome. Come and choose your own papers. I have used just one piece of double sided Rouge de Garance paper, a couple of buttons and rhinestones (which can be purchased or stolen from me on the day) and one flower.
I do, however, expect all the SEASONED scrappers to stamp their own style on this one. NO slacking off!!
Bring one 4x6 landscape orientated photo in whatever theme or colour you wish.
For newbies, bring a black & white photo so you can just choose coloured papers you like, rather than matching them to the photo!

Okay off to continue another Bon's Challenge...hmmm, Room of the Month looks spectacular this month.

Oh, here's another layout, just because....

and it was sooo much fun to put together!!

More later this week!!

Grease is the WORD...

okay, not really
I really can't imagine staying focused on the word 'GREASE' for the whole of 2010 ... {quietly barfing}

Here she is....

It's a little story so there's not much other than the title/WORD.
If you're tuned into imagery and little enlightened on the way my mind works, then you can see how all the bits tie in together.

PHEW!!! The canvas really was a labour of love. Surviving the exploratory hands of Mr Rainer for a start, then the inevitable start of school/stress and hubby being in Sydney for 2 days......aaarrrrghhhhh.

Wondered where I'd been??? LOL

More stuff.....
Hubby's desk calendar for work this year.

(Mr Rainer is our hand-model today!!)
Kikki K has opened a retail store near home so while I was buying the HUGE planner, I found this excellent blank desk calendar!!! Ridiculously easy to put together!
Papers and calendar are Jenni Bowlin and the gorgeous felt is PRIMA!! All at Blue Bazaar's shop.

Ummm, what else???
One more challenge at Bon's.

Using her January Boy Kit.

My class will be at around 1.30pm and 5.30pm so you can prepare the kidlets being looked after by hubby for a few hours LOL. I know mine need de-briefing after a couple of hours with Dad....*snigger*

Nearly finished the layout, by the way. It's been hard to find time for anything with kids off to school, but we're getting there!!

AND I'M IN HEAVEN.....

I subscribed with my birthday money last year and now they have an online community.....everything is good.

And I'm getting tips for Art Journals here...

just put her name in YouTube for loads of free videos and join her community. I'm getting back there now the boys are being entertained by professionals.

And here too....OMGosh, it's overload now, isn't it???
A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF AN ART JOURNAL
